Wash away those germs people!

This is London.co.uk says that doctors and nurses in hospitals that don't wash their hands cause more damage Drink Drivers! So why it is that still 1 in 5 health professional still don't wash their hands?
We are all aware of the promotion of washing hands in order to prevent germ cross-contamination so why is it that the take such a laid back approach to keeping it clean?
The reason why it is so bad to not wash your hands, is that patients at the hospital already have a poor immune system due to fighting infection, and so to introduce more can result be very bad and even result in fatality.
Do you agree that health professionals that don't wash their hands are making patients sicker or do you feel it may be down to other issues?
