R.e Nicola Quinn's blog about 'the bad gene'.

I was very interested in reading Nicola's blog about the discovery of a 'bad gene'. This would be great in understanding how people that behave badly work, and also maybe try to help them or get rid of the gene altogether!
However, Nicola then as do I points out her doubts as she states that doctors seem to find 'genes for anything these days' such as the fat gene, of which of course makes people prone to be fat. I can't help but think the researcher’s use these new find genes as a scapegoat as they don't yet understand why some people are as bad as they are.
Do you agree that these genes may exist and so help us to understand why people are bad or is it just another false hope as researchers still don't have a clue?
