Should Charles and Camilla of been allowed to re-marry?

I know it is the 21st century but should our heir to the throne, being a divorcée, be allowed to marry his mistress?
We all know that prince Charles was married to the beautiful Princess of Diana, in 1981, their split became official in 1996. The main reason for this Diana admitted in an interview was that the relationship had three people in it, Diana, Charles and Camilla of which she went on to say was that ‘three was a crowd’.
Charles and Camilla met at a Polo match and had kept very close despite both of their separate marriages and careers. In 1994 Charles admitted to Jonathan Dimbleby, in a TV documentary that he had committed adultery. This relationship clearly was controversial from the start.
As if the fact that the relationship started whilst the Prince was still married to Diana, the Church of England changed the rule, that has been around for hundreds of years to allow them both to marry.
The worst part of their marriage being allowed was that King Edward VIII had to give up his throne in order to be with Mrs. Simpson, a divorced woman that he loved. Surly this can’t be fair and if Charles really loved Camilla shouldn’t he have done the same instead of changing all the Church of England stood for?
Do you think it is wrong for Charles to be able to change the laws on marriage in the Church of England for his own benefit or should we accept that it is the 21st century and times are changing?
Who would you of preferred to be our future Queen?
